Chapter 91

Vivian Bennett felt completely drained.

Her recent claustrophobia attack had sapped all her strength.

She didn't even have the energy to argue.

Her eyelids grew heavy.

She soon fell back into unconsciousness in Liam Sullivan's arms.

Rapid footsteps echoed through the hospital corridor.

A doctor hurried in to give Vivian a full examination.

Liam stood outside the hospital room, his expression terrifyingly dark.

The doctor finished the examination and reported respectfully.

"Mr. Sullivan, Miss Bennett is physically fine. She's just suffered from shock."

Liam's gaze was sharp. "Are you certain?"

The doctor lowered his head nervously. "If you're concerned, we can keep her for observation for a few days."

Liam's voice was cold. "Admit her."

His phone suddenly rang.

Ryan Johnson's voice came through the line.

"Boss, the cafeteria staff has confessed."

Liam's eyes turned icy. "Go on."

"He admitted to taking money to deliberately lead Miss Bennett to the storage room."

"Who ordered it?"

"Contact was made through an anonymous number. The bank transfer was also from an anonymous account."

A cold glint flashed in Liam's eyes.

Someone was deliberately targeting Vivian.

They dared to make a move right under his nose.

"Focus the investigation on Hannah Green."

Liam's voice was frigid.

She was the one in the PR department with the deepest conflict with Vivian.

She was always causing trouble for Vivian.

Sending her to pick up coffee beans right after returning from the neighboring city was too much of a coincidence.

"Yes, sir!"

Ryan responded immediately.

Liam ended the call and walked toward the VIP room.

Vivian lay quietly on the hospital bed, her face pale.

He sat by the bed and held her cold hand.

Vivian remained unconscious throughout the night.

She slowly woke the next morning.

Opening her eyes, she saw Liam leaning on the sofa.

He wore the same suit from yesterday. Stubble shaded his jaw.

He had clearly stayed with her all night.

Vivian was surprised.

Everyone said Liam had severe mysophobia.

Yet he had stayed overnight for her.

She shifted slightly.

Liam's eyes opened immediately.

"How do you feel?"

His voice was low and husky.

"Much better. Thank you for saving me."

Vivian expressed her gratitude sincerely.

Liam gave a slight nod. He called to have breakfast delivered.

"Boss, you should go attend to your work."

Vivian felt bad for taking up his time.

Liam's expression darkened. "I'm not busy."

Vivian was instantly speechless.

She excused herself to wash up and retreated to the bathroom.

Her reflection in the mirror showed a deathly pale face.

The terror from the storage room was still vivid.

She had nearly suffocated to death.

Liam was truly her savior.

When she emerged from the bathroom, breakfast had arrived.

Exquisite dishes covered the table.

Liam stood by the window waiting for her.

Sunlight fell on him, outlining his tall, straight figure.
