Chapter 90

Liam Sullivan carried the unconscious Vivian Bennett, swiftly heading toward his limousine.

He carefully placed her in the back seat.

"To the hospital," he said, his voice low and urgent.

The driver immediately started the engine.

The car sped off like an arrow.

Liam took out his phone and dialed Ryan Johnson's number.

"Find out who is behind the attack on Vivian Bennett," he said coldly.

"Yes, boss," Ryan responded promptly.

Liam ended the call.

His gaze fell on Vivian's pale face.

She suddenly woke up.

She found herself held in Liam's arms.

Instinctively, she struggled to break free.

"Don't move," Liam restrained her. "We're going to the hospital."

His tone brooked no argument.

Vivian softly refused. "I'm fine now."

She didn't want to trouble him further.

Liam's eyes darkened.

He held her firmly in place.

"What happened just now?" he asked gravely.

Vivian lowered her eyelids.

Her voice trembled slightly. "I went to the storage room to get coffee beans. The door suddenly closed. The lights went out too..."

Recalling the scene, she shivered uncontrollably.

Liam watched her frightened expression.

His brows furrowed tightly.

"Do you have claustrophobia?" he asked perceptively.

Vivian nodded gently, admitting the fact.

Liam's face instantly turned grim.

He couldn't imagine the torment for someone with claustrophobia locked in a dark storage room.

"Who told you to go to the storage room?" he pressed further.

"The staff at the cafeteria," Vivian answered. "He said the coffee beans were out. He told me to get them myself."

Liam's eyes turned sharp. "And who told you to get the coffee beans?"

"Manager Hannah," Vivian said softly.

Hannah Green had just returned from a business trip this morning.

She immediately started ordering Vivian around.

It wasn't even her job, but she was forced to accept.

Liam's eyes turned icy cold.

Hannah Green. He remembered that name.

This wasn't the first time.

"Why didn't you say anything?" His voice suppressed anger. "Why didn't you tell me you were being bullied?"

Vivian pressed her lips together.

She didn't know how to answer.

There was always an invisible chasm between them.

"You must tell me in the future," Liam said sternly. "Do you hear me?"

Vivian looked into his determined eyes.

She finally gave a slight nod.
