Chapter 85

Liam Sullivan's long fingers swiftly swiped across her phone screen.

He saved his own number into her contacts.

"Do not delete this."

He shoved the phone back into her hand, gripping her wrist firmly.

His low, husky voice held an undeniable command.

Vivian Bennett blinked, nodding obediently.

Her docile demeanor stirred something within Liam.

"Next time you dare not answer my call, I'll assume you're playing hard to get."

He narrowed his eyes, gazing at her swollen lips.

His large hand slipped beneath her nightgown.

"Stop this!" Vivian panicked.

They were still outside.

What if someone saw them?

Liam ignored her resistance.

His fingertips traced patterns across her smooth skin.

Vivian's entire body grew feverish.

A blush spread across her cheeks.

"Let me go, let go now!" She struggled fiercely.

Terrified he might do something even more reckless outdoors.

Liam buried his face in her neck.

Complex emotions churned in his eyes.

He slowly calmed his breathing.

Finally, he released her.

Vivian's heart hammered like a drum.

She stared at the man's tense, handsome face.

The desire in his eyes hadn't faded.

She felt both flustered and furious.

She shoved Liam away violently.

Turning, she fled back toward the house.

Watching her panicked retreat, Liam's lips curved into a faint smile.

He pulled out a cigarette and placed it between his lips.

Lighting it, he took a deep drag.

Blue smoke wreathed his sharp features.

It made him appear especially enigmatic in the night.

Vivian ran all the way home without stopping.

She collapsed onto her bed, tossing and turning sleeplessly.

Liam's forceful kisses and entanglement haunted her thoughts.

Images of Isabella Sullivan directing Hannah Green to harass her also surfaced.

She felt trapped in a web woven by the siblings.

There seemed no escape.

Morning sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows into the living room.

Liam had just descended the stairs when he spotted two figures on the sofa.

Isabella Sullivan was chatting cheerfully with Eleanor Sullivan.

The elderly woman looked radiant and in high spirits.

"Grandma? Isabella? What brings you here?"

Liam's brow furrowed slightly as he approached.

"Brother..." Isabella called to him softly.

Eleanor shot him a displeased glare. "You refused to bring Isabella to visit me at the estate."

"So I had to come see you myself."

Liam's voice was low. "The company has been extremely busy lately."

"I truly haven't had any free time."

As he spoke, a cold glint flashed in Isabella's eyes.

Was her brother really that busy?

Or was he busy in Vivian Bennett's bed?

Before, she thought although her brother was cold toward her, at least he had no other women.

He always maintained his integrity.

He never entangled himself with the opposite sex.

Now, for Vivian's sake, he even stood up his grandparents.

It was unprecedentedly absurd.

"Busy, busy, busy. That's all you ever are," Eleanor said unhappily.

"Next month is your grandfather's seventieth birthday."

"Let's see if you're still too busy then."

Liam finally remembered his grandfather's birthday was next month.

How could he have forgotten such an important date?
