Chapter 531
Liam Sullivan's eyes suddenly lit up.
He knew she had agreed.
Excitement surged through him instantly.
He immediately began counting seriously. "I like both boys and girls. I want sons, and I want daughters too. It would be best to have older brothers, younger brothers, older sisters, and younger sisters. In short, I'll love any baby you give me."
Vivian Bennett choked a little.
"Older brothers, younger brothers, older sisters, younger sisters?" Her eyes widened. "Four? That many?"
As a typical modern woman, she had always thought one boy and one girl was perfect.
A son and a daughter would be more than enough.
If that wasn't lively enough, three children would be sufficient.
After all, from pregnancy to being able to safely hand a child over to a nanny, each one required at least three years.
Three children would consume eight or nine years.
A woman's youth was already fleeting.
She still wanted to enjoy life.
Raising so many little rascals would surely keep her running in circles.
Not to mention, there was also a clingy husband.
She would definitely be exhausted.
"How is that too many?" Liam disagreed. "More children means more liveliness. Liveliness is fun."
"I don't know about lively, but it's definitely going to be exhausting." Vivian imagined several children tugging at her clothes, calling "Mommy," and felt a headache coming on.
Liam analyzed it seriously for her. "Look, if we have sons, they can work and earn money for us in the future."
Vivian weakly gave him a thumbs-up. "You truly are a businessman."
She was already mourning for her future sons.
They weren't even born yet, and their father was already planning to put them to work.
This father was truly devious.
A classic old-fashioned mindset—having sons was for labor.
The children would probably wail about having such an unscrupulous father.
Sons, you're on your own!
"Of course," Liam said smugly. "A real man is meant to work. What else would he be born for?"
He paused, his gaze softening.
When he spoke of his plans for daughters, his entire demeanor gentled. "As for daughters, we'll raise them to accompany us everywhere. We can spoil them rotten."
"You're really biased." Vivian rolled her eyes.
This wasn't just a little bias.
His entire heart was severely tilted.
This man was a classic example of gender inequality.
He seriously discriminated against sons.
She grew increasingly worried for her future sons.
Liam spread his hands innocently.
A sly glint flashed in his eyes. "Medical science proves the human heart is naturally off-center. It's perfectly normal. Boys are born to endure hardship. Girls are born to be cherished. That's my philosophy on raising children."
Vivian glared at him. "Your philosophy is incorrect. Nowadays, we promote gender equality. We need to keep up with the times. Your thinking is too backward. We should follow the national call."
Liam wrapped an arm around her waist.
He grinned mischievously. "Let gender equality go to hell. In my house, men and women have never been equal. Sons listen to daughters. Daughters listen to you. And you listen to me."
Vivian was dissatisfied. "Why don't you listen to me?"
"I'm the man of the house, the head of the family. Naturally, everyone listens to me."
"Then I'm the woman of the house, holding up half the sky. At the very least, it should be fifty-fifty."
