Chapter 495

Sophia Miller gently nudged Vivian Bennett's elbow.

She lowered her voice. "Why is Liam Sullivan here tonight? Did you know he was coming?"

Vivian's gaze remained fixed in the distance as she slowly shook her head.

Sophia narrowed her eyes, watching Liam help a woman out of the car.

She frowned. "Who is that woman?"

Vivian's fingers tightened slightly. "I don't know."

A few seconds later, both women clearly saw the girl's face.

She was a complete stranger they had never seen before.

She appeared to be in her teens.

Youthful yet strikingly beautiful, like a flower bud about to bloom.

Sophia's eyes widened suddenly. "Why does that girl look somewhat like you? What is Liam playing at?"

Vivian pressed her lips together and didn't respond.

After helping Crystal Evans out of the car, Isabella Sullivan finally emerged.

He didn't offer her any assistance.

Watching her brother and Crystal walk ahead on the red carpet, Isabella's eyes darkened.

Why wasn't it Vivian? Why was it this woman of unknown origins again?

Crystal looked exceptionally dazzling tonight.

She wore a gown specially ordered by Liam from Paris, its sweetheart neckline and mermaid design perfectly accentuating her curves.

The open back extended all the way to her waist, making her skin appear snow-white.

Isabella stared at Crystal's back, her nails digging into her palms.

A mere escort girl—how could she deserve to wear such an expensive gown?

What was wrong with her brother lately?

He had been spoiling this woman ridiculously and even arranged for her to join the company.

Had he gone mad?

Liam stood tall and straight, the petite girl beside him delicate and charming.

Walking side by side, they attracted everyone's attention.

Sophia scrutinized the girl critically. "She doesn't compare to you from head to toe."

"Even wearing such high heels, she only reaches his chest. How short must she be?"

"How many layers of padding did she stuff in her bra to achieve that slight curve?"

Vivian couldn't help but laugh softly.

"Her waist isn't as slim as yours, and her legs aren't as long."

"Our Vivian would look a hundred times better than her no matter what she wears."

Vivian watched the approaching pair and said quietly, "But I'm not as young as she is."

Sophia linked arms with her. "You're at your prime right now, like a ripe peach that makes everyone want to take a bite. Liam must be blind to choose your imitation."

A slight smile touched Vivian's lips.

Liam and Crystal walked down the red carpet without ever glancing aside.

His attitude was completely unfamiliar.

In such situations, Vivian had to maintain her smile.

But Isabella could tell she was forcing it.

Her eyelashes fluttered more frequently than usual.

She was hurting.

Isabella sat beside Liam and Crystal.

"Mr. Sullivan, I was so nervous walking the red carpet just now. My heart was racing," Crystal said softly to Liam.

Liam unscrewed a bottle cap and handed her water. "Have a drink."

Crystal's cheeks flushed pink as she gave him a coquettish look. "You're so good at taking care of people, Mr. Sullivan."
