Chapter 457

"Alright."

"By the way, Miss Bennett, a gentleman was waiting for you outside earlier," the staff member added.

Liam Sullivan's expression darkened instantly.

He shot Vivian Bennett a chilling sidelong glance.

His look was accusatory, like he had just caught her in an affair.

Vivian's heart sank.

Who could be looking for her?

It definitely wasn't staff.

Could it be that ridiculous Prince Dacia?

Highly likely.

His thought process was bizarre, simple yet unpredictable.

Hanging up on him might have only made him more persistent.

This was bad.

Last night's incident had already put Liam on edge regarding Dacia.

If he showed up now, even though she knew he only saw her as a friend...

Liam would absolutely suspect ulterior motives.

A headache.

A real headache.

"Hmph, feeling guilty?" Liam's displeasure grew as he watched her shifting expressions.

"Let's go see."

He wrapped his arm possessively around her waist.

The gesture was intimate, yet underscored clear ownership.

They walked out to the lobby.

Prince Dacia, disguised with sunglasses, was indeed waiting there.

Dacia's eyes lit up the moment he saw Vivian.

He spread his arms wide for an enthusiastic hug.

"Vivian Bennett! Why wasn't your phone working? I thought something happened to you. I came to check."

Liam stepped directly in front of Vivian.

His gaze was icy and full of warning.

"Talk if you must. Keep your hands off my woman."

Dacia froze.

He studied the hostile man before him, and suddenly understood.

"Ah! You're the man who was bidding against me last night!"

Liam remembered the scene vividly.

Vivian had publicly chosen this man over him.

A deep chill surged in his eyes.

Unrestrained killing intent radiated from him.

"It was me. What gives you the right to compete for my woman?" His voice was frigid.

Dacia's temper flared.

"Who I am doesn't matter. What matters is you lost last night. You lost to me!"

"Dacia, stop it!" Vivian urgently hissed under her breath.

Couldn't he sense the murderous aura around Liam?

He was already enraged, and Dacia was just provoking him further.

It was suicidal.

She quickly stepped forward, linking her arm intimately with Liam's.

She pressed her soft body against his chest and looked up at him.

Her expression was a mix of annoyance and coquettish pleading.

"Don't do anything rash. I told you, he's just a friend. He has no interest in me like that. He already has a fiancée."

She clutched his hand nervously.

Her eyes were pleading, her voice soft and dripping with sweetness.

Liam looked down at her beseeching face, and his heart softened slightly.

But his anger remained.

She was actually pleading for this pretty boy.

Hmph.

Dacia looked utterly confused.

"What fiancée? I don't have..."

Vivian shot him a fierce glare.

He had no idea how terrifying Liam could be.

He had no concept of the intensity of Liam's possessiveness.

Dacia received her warning look.

Though displeased, he obediently shut his mouth.

Liam gave him a cold once-over.

His pleasant voice held a subtle threat.

"If he's just a friend, then fine. But if I find out you have any improper designs on my woman..."

He paused, his voice dropping even colder.

"Be careful the car you're in suddenly explodes. Or the food you eat is mysteriously poisoned. Dying in such an ugly way... that would make you the real loser."

Dacia's eyes widened in shock.

He looked at Vivian in disbelief.

"Is he joking? Does he think he's a terrorist?"
