Chapter 396

The man's handsome face was so close she could feel his breath.

Vivian Bennett felt both annoyed and angry.

But she couldn't resist the overwhelming drowsiness.

She went limp, leaning against his chest.

And fell into a deep sleep once more.

The flight from Zurich back to Seattle took several hours.

By the time the plane landed, it was already eleven at night.

Ryan Johnson personally drove to pick them up.

When he saw the two walking side by side through the VIP channel, he paused slightly.

So the CEO had suddenly gone to Zurich for Ms. Bennett.

Vivian had originally taken a week off.

But Liam Sullivan had brought her back early.

She just wanted to stay home and catch up on sleep.

Yet the next day, Liam took her to the Sullivan Group.

She drowsily wrapped her arms around his neck.

Her voice soft and sleepy. "But I took time off..."

Liam's brow furrowed slightly.

He leaned down and kissed her smooth forehead.

His gaze was deep and unreadable.

Ryan was long used to seeing Vivian at the company.

Liam hadn't been in the office for two days.

He immediately immersed himself in work upon entering.

After waking up, Vivian changed clothes and stepped out of the restroom.

Having come here many times now.

She no longer felt the initial anxiety and unease.

The office was empty.

She walked slowly to the floor-to-ceiling window.

Overlooking the view of most of Seattle.

The warm spring sun streamed through the glass, bathing her in light.

As if coating her in a golden halo.

The office door suddenly swung open.

Vivian's heart skipped a beat.

She turned to see the man walking in, his suit crisp and tailored.

Narrow waist, long legs.

His proportions were as perfect as a model's.

She couldn't help but smile softly.

When Liam saw her, his eyes flickered with emotion.

His long strides carried him toward her.

He wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her into his embrace.

His thin lips brushed against her ear.

His voice low and gentle. "Awake?"

Vivian nodded lightly.

Tilting her face up to look at him.

Her expression pitiful. "Liam, I'm hungry."

The man chuckled softly.

His lips grazed the corner of her mouth. "I thought you might be. I came back specifically to be with you."

He walked to his desk and pressed the intercom.

Soon, Ms. Lily Ashcroft entered with pastries.

Seeing the doting look in Liam's eyes.

Her face instantly turned grim.

She set down the pastries and hurried out.

Vivian sat alone at the coffee table, eating.

She occasionally glanced up at the man behind the desk.

He was focused on reviewing documents.

His profile in the sunlight was so perfect it stole her breath.

After eating, seeing Liam was still busy.

She quietly slipped back into the restroom for a nap.

Though Liam was swamped with work.

The thought of the woman in his restroom warmed his heart.

Their days were simple yet sweet.

Liam had a meeting in the afternoon.

Vivian woke up and came out to stretch her legs.

Just as she pushed open the restroom door.

She saw Lily Ashcroft standing not far away, her eyes red and teary.
