Chapter 392
Julian Klein wore a blue casual tracksuit with a large backpack slung over his shoulder.
His demeanor was completely different from yesterday's efficient and steady presence.
Now he appeared relaxed and free-spirited.
Vivian Bennett's heart skipped a beat when she saw him.
She slowly curved her lips into a smile. "Mr. Klein, what a coincidence to see you again?"
Julian's gaze swept over both women, his lips quirking slightly. "Did you two just come down from the mountain?"
Sophia Miller raised her eyebrows in surprise. "How did you know?"
"Just a guess," Julian said, his deep eyes settling on Vivian.
She wore a purple knitted batwing top with distressed jeans today.
She looked playful and lively.
Her cheeks were flushed from exercise, her lips naturally pink.
Her long hair cascaded loosely, giving her a lazy beauty.
This version of her made Julian's heart inexplicably stir.
That familiar thrill surfaced again, yet he couldn't remember where he had seen her before.
The setting sun's glow illuminated Vivian's delicate profile.
In the interplay of light and shadow, it quietly overlapped with a certain silhouette in his memory.
Julian's voice was low and ethereal. "Vivian Bennett, have we met before?"
A breeze brushed past, lifting the strands of hair by her cheeks.
Vivian gently tucked the stray hairs behind her ear and smiled. "The hotel, the company, and here—that makes three times, right?"
Julian suddenly snapped back to reality.
Suppressing the strange feeling in his heart, he made an awkward invitation. "Since we're so fated, would you like to have dinner together?"
"Thank you for the offer, Mr. Klein," Vivian politely declined. "We're too tired from hiking today and want to rest at the hotel."
She pulled Sophia along as they quickly entered the hotel lobby.
Julian watched their retreating figures and couldn't help shaking his head.
What had been wrong with him lately?
Why did he always feel an indescribable sense of familiarity every time he saw this Vivian Bennett?
Sophia muttered as they walked. "That Mr. Klein was looking at you strangely. Even his pickup line was so cliché. Could he be interested in you?"
Vivian chuckled lightly. "Don't guess wildly. He was just being polite."
Sophia was too tired to argue and merely snorted. "Just be careful anyway."
"Got it," Vivian said, collapsing onto the sofa to massage her aching legs.
Both were too exhausted to move.
They ordered room service for dinner and went to bed early.
They slept straight through until noon the next day.
Due to overexertion, they decided to spend the entire day resting at the hotel.
They curled up in bed watching paid movies until nightfall when they finally regained their energy.
Full of enthusiasm, they headed to Zurich's food street to sample local specialty snacks and browse the specialty exhibition.
......
Liam Sullivan had someone waiting for him as soon as he got off the plane.
The black car sped through the night, blending into the dark sky.
Tree shadows danced along the roadside, dappled light flickering inside the car.
In the shifting light, the man's sharply defined profile appeared even colder.
Liam Sullivan closed his eyes to rest, but an image of Vivian Bennett's smiling face surfaced in his mind.
