Chapter 369

Liam Sullivan's slap wasn't actually that hard.

Compared to the excruciating pain from the dog bite, it was insignificant.

But Vivian Bennett couldn't stop herself from crying.

Tears fell like broken strings of pearls, flowing more and more fiercely.

Liam watched her with a cold gaze, but his tone softened unconsciously. "Vivian Bennett, if your face gets ruined, I won't even look at you again."

Vivian sobbed, indignant. "Liam Sullivan, are you really that shallow? Besides this face, is there nothing inside me that attracts you?"

Liam stared at her reddened eyes, tears still streaking her cheeks.

He hardened his heart and sneered coldly. "Besides your passable looks, all you do is eat and sleep. You're foolish and disobedient. What inner appeal could you possibly have?"

Vivian's fragile heart took a heavy blow.

Was she really that worthless?

The more she thought about it, the more wronged she felt.

Liam let her sulk, neither comforting nor acknowledging her.

Vivian lay alone, fuming, and eventually fell asleep without realizing it.

She only woke up, groaning softly, when the nurse came to remove the IV.

In her groggy state, she saw Liam holding her hand tightly, his gaze intense.

He looked as tense as if he were the one having the needle removed.

She couldn't help but smile faintly.

Concerned about the injury on her wrist, Liam insisted she stay in the hospital for observation.

Eleanor Sullivan never returned after leaving.

Vivian asked, puzzled, "Didn't Grandma say she was going to buy something? Why is it taking so long?"

Liam's gaze was profound as he spoke lightly. "She had something to attend to and went back first."

Vivian was startled. "She saw you come in?"

"No, she spoke with the nurses and asked them to take good care of you." Liam said it so seriously it was hard not to believe him.

Vivian was half-convinced, feeling that something was off.

But she didn't have the energy to investigate further now.

Seeing her in pain, Liam felt both angry and frustrated.

Before returning to the estate, he had repeatedly warned her not to trust anyone, especially to stay away from Isabella Sullivan.

Yet she had forgotten everything and ended up hurting herself like this.

Seeing his still-dark expression, Vivian didn't dare make a fuss no matter how much it hurt.

Liam had his subordinate order takeout.

Suppressing his anger, he fed her bite by bite.

At first, Vivian was a bit shy and ate reservedly.

Perhaps she was truly hungry, as she ended up eating more than Liam.

Watching her carefree demeanor, Liam was furious but helpless.

Worried that today's events would leave her traumatized about the Sullivan Estate, he decided to stay with her in the hospital overnight for observation.
