Chapter 362
Vivian Bennett rested her chin in her hands, her gaze playful as she glanced at him.
"Mr. Sullivan, it hasn't even been two hours since you proposed.
Is there really such a rush?"
For once, Liam Sullivan didn't ignore her question.
He set down his fork and knife, his expression serious.
"This matter requires careful planning."
Vivian laughed at his solemn demeanor.
"What kind of planning?"
"At the very least, we must visit your parents first."
A matter like marriage required both families to meet.
Vivian's smile tightened slightly.
"They live elsewhere.
I haven't been in contact with them for years.
I'm not even sure if their address has changed..."
Liam frowned.
Vivian deliberately lightened the mood, changing the subject.
"Shouldn't we consider your family's opinion first?
After all, marriage isn't just about the two of us."
Liam was unconcerned.
His parents would no longer object.
The matter was already settled.
Still, they needed to be notified.
It was better to let Vivian handle the troublesome details.
"Oh," Vivian suddenly remembered something.
"Should we personally tell your sister, Isabella Sullivan?"
She was unsure.
Liam responded lazily.
"Yes."
"But I'm not close to her.
What if she..."
Vivian worried that anyone in the Sullivan family might not accept her.
Since they were getting married, she hoped to get along well with everyone.
Liam chuckled at her anxious expression.
"You're worrying so much before even entering the family.
What will you do later?"
"..."
"Don't worry.
She won't have time to bother with you.
Just focus your attention on me."
"..."
Vivian was left speechless.
Late at night.
After his shower, Liam picked up his phone and made a call.
Oliver Winston's voice came through.
"What is it?"
Liam was brief and to the point.
"I'm getting married."
Oliver was silent for a few seconds.
He asked tentatively,"What does that have to do with me?"
"I just felt like telling you."
"..."
The call ended abruptly.
Liam didn't mind.
He tossed his phone aside casually.
When Vivian emerged from her shower, Liam was leaning against the headboard.
A laptop rested on his legs, his slender fingers typing on the keyboard.
Hearing her footsteps, he quickly sent an email and closed the computer.
Vivian approached.
"Still working?"
"No," Liam brushed it off lightly.
"Just some personal matters."
Vivian didn't press further.
After applying her skincare products and drying her hair, she slipped into bed.
Liam turned off the bedside lamp, plunging the room into darkness.
