Chapter 262
"Between sisters, there's no need for thanks." Vivian Bennett shook her head gently.
Both had been drinking and couldn't drive, so they called a designated driver to take them home.
Vivian's alcohol tolerance was poor to begin with, and seeing Liam Sullivan with Isabella Sullivan tonight had put her in a worse mood, leading her to drink even more.
Her head felt heavy and her steps unsteady as she leaned against the wall, finally managing to find her way to her doorstep.
Just as she entered and was about to close the door, a figure suddenly pressed her against it.
An overwhelming kiss swept over her like a storm.
The man, filled with intense anger, ravaged her crimson lips again and again.
After the initial shock, Vivian struggled desperately.
Liam pinned her firmly against the door, completely restricting her freedom as he savagely claimed her mouth.
His deep, dark eyes fixed intently on her expression until Vivian trembled, closed her eyes, and slowly went limp.
Only then did Liam release her lips with satisfaction, holding her soft body, a smirk playing on his lips as he watched her dazed and disoriented state.
His voice was low and magnetic, whispering slowly near her ear. "How did that feel?"
Then he abruptly let her go.
Vivian gasped for breath, her breathing erratic as she stared at the man's wicked face. She couldn't muster any strength and slid down the door to sit on the floor.
Her large, clear dark eyes were filled with confusion, grievance, and anger as she glared at him.
She didn't know whether she was angry at his sudden provocation or his malicious withdrawal just as she was getting aroused.
Liam watched her sitting disheveled on the floor. He lifted his pant legs slightly and crouched gracefully before her.
Seeing her flushed little face and the aggrieved, resentful look in her eyes, he couldn't help but reach out to lift her chin. His voice was rich and powerful. "You've been drinking?"
His low voice made her muddled thoughts clear slightly.
Vivian angrily slapped away Liam's big hand and snapped, "Whether I've been drinking is none of your business! Who let you into my house? Just moments ago, you were having a romantic weekend with your sister at the golf course, and now you're feeling lonely and cold and suddenly remember me?"
Vivian slapped Liam's hand away in annoyance, saying angrily, "Whether I've been drinking or not is none of your business. Who said you could come into my home? Weren't you just having a romantic weekend with your sister at the golf course? Now you're feeling lonely and cold and remembered me?"
Liam's anger surged instantly.
He abruptly picked Vivian up from the floor, his hands gripping her slender waist. His voice was low, ambiguous, and wicked. "That sounds quite sour. I think you're jealous."
Vivian snorted in refute. "Who's jealous? I'm not jealous at all!"
Liam leaned closer, his voice hoarse as he whispered into her ear. "If you're not jealous, then why are you complaining to me now?"
"I..." Vivian was left speechless.
She looked up into the man's profound eyes.
Those ink-dark pupils held emotions she couldn't decipher—a hint of restless agitation and turbulent rage, as if ready to explode at any moment.
She struggled indignantly, her small hands grabbing the collar of Liam's shirt as she muttered, "You say you're just brother and sister, but what kind of brother goes on weekend dates with his sister? Hah, I almost foolishly believed you. Believed you were sincere about me, thought you wanted to be with me... Luckily... Luckily I didn't believe it, or I'd be the only one crying?"
Then Vivian tugged at his collar again,. "Liam Sullivan, you're a bastard. You always use underhanded methods to tease me, but when I start missing you, you suddenly disappear?"
Liam watched her flushed face and heard her drunken ramblings, his brows furrowing.
He said through gritted teeth, "Vivian Bennett, if you dare get drunk like this again, just see how I deal with you."
Then he bent down, scooped her up, and carried her toward the bedroom.
Just as Liam placed her on the large bed, Vivian suddenly wrapped her arms around his neck and let out two silly laughs.
"Liam Sullivan, why do you only have one nose but three faces... Oh, wait, one, two, three, four, five—why five faces?"
