Chapter 252

Vivian Bennett finished her work for the day.

She was worrying about how to handle Liam Sullivan's planned visit that evening.

Her phone suddenly rang.

It was her cousin, Grace Harper.

Heart-wrenching sobs came through the phone.

Vivian's heart tightened, and she quickly softened her voice to comfort her.

She told Grace to go wait at her apartment.

They would talk in detail when they met.

Vivian guessed that the reason for her cousin's emotional breakdown was once again Jason Harper's infidelity.

She immediately hailed a taxi and rushed home as fast as possible.

Just as she reached her door, she saw Grace curled up in the corner.

Her arms were wrapped around her knees, and her shoulders trembled uncontrollably.

"Cousin......"

Vivian walked over quickly, calling out softly.

Grace looked up, her face already streaked with tears.

"Vivian, you're back!"

Her voice was terribly hoarse.

Vivian quickly opened the door and helped her cousin inside.

She poured a glass of warm water and handed it over.

"Have some water first. Talk slowly."

Grace took the glass, her fingers still shaking.

"Jason came home very late last night."

She said between sobs, "I saw... a lipstick mark on his neck."

She had been trying so hard to be good to her husband lately.

Hoping he would change his mind.

But that glaring lip print seemed to mock her futile efforts.

It reminded her that Jason had already betrayed their family.

"He simply doesn't see any of my efforts."

Grace closed her eyes in pain. "He always finds excuses to argue with me. He spends less and less time at home......"

Vivian frowned in thought.

"Cousin, are you sure it was from the other woman? Or could it just be from some business entertainment?"

Jason often went out for work-related social events before.

But those women never amounted to anything.

This time felt different.

Was this other woman particularly wealthy?

"That woman is openly provoking me!"

Grace's eyes snapped open, bloodshot.

Her entire body trembled.

"I didn't just see the lipstick mark. I could smell perfume on him too......"

Vivian's heart sank.

It seemed Jason never ended things with that woman.

"How could he do this to me?"

Tears streamed down Grace's face.

Her heart felt torn apart, aching terribly.

Since discovering her husband's affair, she had been lying to herself.

Believing that if she tried hard enough, she could save their marriage.

But that lipstick mark completely shattered her illusion.

Vivian sighed.

She decided to reveal what she had discovered earlier.

"Cousin, there's something I've been hiding from you for a while."

She told Grace about following Jason to the gated community.

"That other woman seems very wealthy."

Grace found it hard to believe. "Someone that rich would be interested in Jason?"

Vivian shook her head.

She couldn't figure it out either.

A mediocre man like Jason.

Her cousin had already settled by marrying him.

How could some wealthy woman be blind enough to want him?

"I'll find out her identity as soon as possible."

Vivian promised solemnly.

Grace clenched her teeth and nodded. "We need to know who she is to deal with this."

Vivian looked concerned. "Cousin, do you still want to save this marriage?"

Grace's eyes suddenly turned cold.

"I refuse to accept being made a cuckold like this."

She balled her fists. "Since he dared to cheat, I'll make sure he leaves with nothing!"

She knew what her cousin was worried about.

She had been too weak all these years, allowing Jason to bully her.

But now, she must learn to protect herself.

She would defend everything that rightfully belonged to her.
