Chapter 236
Liam Sullivan stood outside the bedroom door, holding a thin blanket with a dark expression.
He was the CEO of the Sullivan Group, yet he had been locked out by a mere woman.
It was utterly ridiculous.
He had planned to use the stormy night as an opportunity to finally win her over.
But Vivian Bennett remained unmoved by both soft and hard tactics.
He needed to find another way to break through her defenses.
Liam turned off the living room lights and lay down on the sofa with the blanket, closing his eyes to rest.
His mind, however, was racing with various plans.
The next morning.
Vivian opened the curtains and stretched contentedly.
After the storm, the sky was a clear, brilliant blue with bright sunshine.
The flower beds below were lush and green, full of spring vitality.
She stood by the window enjoying a moment of peace when she suddenly remembered something.
There was someone sleeping in the living room!
That's right.
Last night, the big boss Liam Sullivan had stayed at her place.
She had completely forgotten about it.
Vivian patted her cheeks, took a coat from the closet, and gently pushed the door open.
Liam was sitting on the sofa, still drowsy with sleep.
The belt of his bathrobe hung loosely around his waist, revealing his well-defined chest muscles.
He looked weary and exhausted.
"Good morning, Mr. Sullivan. Did you sleep well last night?" Vivian asked softly.
Liam looked up, his eyes full of resentment. "Do I look like I slept well?"
"You couldn't fall asleep?"
Vivian took a step forward and saw the thin blanket crumpled into a ball in the corner of the sofa.
"How could anyone sleep on this sofa?" Liam frowned.
He looked annoyed but held back from lashing out at her, only letting out a low grumble.
"My whole body aches. You're the only one in the world who would dare treat me like this."
Vivian couldn't help but cover her mouth to stifle a laugh.
Was this still the cold and imposing Mr. Sullivan?
Until—
"Still laughing?"
Liam glared at her, his expression darkening further.
Vivian lowered her head, trying hard to suppress her laughter, her shoulders trembling slightly.
After secretly enjoying the moment, she finally composed herself and looked up at the sulking CEO. "Alright, I won't laugh anymore. Go freshen up. We have to go to the company soon."
"What about my breakfast?" Liam shot her a look, his eyes full of expectation.
"I... I'll make it for you." Vivian blinked, reluctantly agreeing.
Hearing her promise, Liam's expression softened slightly.
Just as he was about to speak, Vivian suddenly exclaimed, "Oh no! I forgot you don't have a change of clothes. What will you do for work? Should I go buy some from the store downstairs? But the mall isn't open this early, so maybe you should..."
Vivian trailed off, her eyes hinting that he should leave.
And go home to change.
She didn't have any of his clothes here.
It wasn't that she was kicking him out.
It was just that there was no other way.
He couldn't possibly wear the same outfit.
"No need to buy anything." Liam suddenly spoke with authority.
