Chapter 213
Vivian Bennett crouched down.
She dipped her fingertips into the lake.
Warm water enveloped her fingers.
Her eyes widened in surprise.
Liam Sullivan's lips curved slightly.
"This is a hot spring," he said.
Vivian froze.
She hadn't expected natural hot springs here.
"The Sullivan Group invested here because of these natural resources," Liam explained gently.
Vivian was stunned again.
So this resort was developed by the Sullivan Group.
No wonder both departments chose this place for their team building.
Thinking of his status, and recalling Emily Davis's words, she felt a bitter irony.
Her heart felt heavy and conflicted.
She took a deep breath.
"Mr. Sullivan, it's getting late. I'd like to go back now."
She turned to leave.
Liam wrapped an arm around her waist.
"Since we're here, why not experience it?" His voice was low.
Vivian pushed him hard.
"I don't want to soak..."
Before she could finish, his kiss landed on her lips.
She struggled and pushed him away.
This time, Liam didn't force her. He released her.
His gaze was intense.
"Let me take you to cool off."
He led her deeper down the path.
Vivian struggled, but it was useless.
Five or six minutes later, a cluster of white villas came into view.
An outdoor pool steamed with mist.
Ryan Johnson approached quickly.
"Mr. Sullivan, everything is ready."
Vivian's heart raced.
Was he really taking her to the hot springs?
Being alone with him was too awkward.
A staff member walked over.
"Miss, please come with me to change."
Vivian looked at Liam.
"I don't want to soak."
Liam chuckled softly.
"Will you change yourself, or shall I help you?"
Vivian glared at him.
"You have ulterior motives!"
He whispered in her ear.
"Yes, I want to sleep with you. But not now."
His tone was serious and blunt.
Vivian blushed instantly.
No one had ever spoken to her so explicitly before.
