Chapter 21
If he thought she was all looks and no talent, why insist on having her?
He came to her apartment late at night just to ask her to be his secretary.
…
After Liam Sullivan left, Vivian Bennett tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep.
On her first night living alone, the CEO himself had shown up at her door.
He specifically requested to transfer her to headquarters as his secretary.
What was his real motive?
She couldn't figure it out.
But working close to Liam Sullivan was a rare opportunity for anyone.
She was no exception.
Vivian didn't remember how she finally fell asleep.
She only recalled the nightmare returning once she drifted off.
She was back in that luxurious car.
The man was tirelessly taking what he wanted.
No matter how she cried or struggled, he remained unmoved.
His stamina was shocking, like a wild beast.
Vivian woke up drenched in cold sweat again.
Morning light streamed through the window.
She looked around, realizing she had that nightmare again.
It had been over half a year since that night, but the shadow still haunted her.
For the past six months, the same nightmare had jolted her awake repeatedly.
She still didn't know who that man was.
If she ever found out, she would make him pay.
She had only accidentally entered his car and kindly bandaged his wound.
Yet he used her as an antidote, unleashing his desires without restraint.
Vivian was gritting her teeth when her phone suddenly rang.
She answered the call. "Hello?"
"Is this Vivian Bennett?"
"Yes, speaking."
"This is the PR department of Sullivan Group. Congratulations on passing the interview. Please come to headquarters this morning to complete your onboarding."
Vivian was stunned.
She had actually been hired by the PR department.
This should have been good news.
But then she remembered Liam's personal visit last night, asking her to be his secretary.
She felt torn.
Should she go to PR or become the CEO's secretary?
The secretary position was clearly higher ranking with better pay.
It also meant working closely with the CEO.
But Vivian had no special feelings toward Liam Sullivan.
Every time they met, his demands left her feeling uneasy.
Was this some kind of under-the-table deal?
If she had a choice, she would prefer to stay as far away from him as possible.
After careful consideration, Vivian decided to join the PR department.
She got up, washed up, and applied professional makeup.
She chose a white business suit from her closet.
After changing, she had a quick breakfast and took the subway to Sullivan Group.
The Sullivan Group tower stood against the sky like a pyramid, soaring into the clouds.
