Chapter 205
Liam Sullivan's expression darkened as he recalled the anxious helplessness of repeatedly calling her number only to find it permanently unreachable.
Vivian Bennett's mind flashed back to the moment he had coldly declared, "The three-month agreement is terminated. We're done."
She glared at him indignantly. "You said it yourself. The agreement is void. Why would I keep your number?"
A playful smile touched Liam's lips as he studied her stubborn face. "Are you saying that if the agreement were still valid, you would have saved my number?"
Vivian was caught off guard by his sudden question, momentarily speechless.
Liam leaned down and brushed a light kiss against the corner of her mouth. "So you admit there was something between us before?"
The unexpected kiss made her cheeks flush crimson with shock. "I admitted no such thing!" she refuted in a fluster.
He pulled her slender waist against him, drawing her into his embrace. "Still denying it? You're like a prickly little hedgehog, stinging me at the slightest touch. Everything I said that day was out of anger. Who told you to go on that business trip with Zachary Hudson? And you not only took it seriously, but you had the nerve to block me. Tell me, how should we settle this score?"
He had already uncovered the truth.
The rumors about her and Zachary Hudson were all orchestrated by Hannah Green behind the scenes.
Even the business trip had been arranged by Hannah.
Merely transferring Hannah away from headquarters had been too lenient.
She dared to target his woman repeatedly.
She made Vivian suffer through these baseless scandals.
"Anger?" Vivian's eyelashes trembled slightly as she looked at him in disbelief.
He called it anger?
Did that mean he was going back on his decision to terminate their three-month agreement?
Before Vivian could process this, Liam's handsome face descended upon hers.
Her mind went completely blank, her heartbeat spiraling out of control.
His warm lips covered hers in a domineering, forceful kiss.
Vivian's eyes widened, her hands instinctively pushing against him.
But he only deepened the kiss.
Liam ravaged her mouth relentlessly, making her retreat step by step until her defenses completely crumbled.
The kiss felt like it lasted an entire century.
It wasn't until Vivian whimpered breathlessly from lack of air that Liam reluctantly released her.
He looked down at her flushed face and rapid breathing with a low chuckle. "You still haven't learned how to breathe properly. We need more practice."
Vivian glared at him in embarrassed fury. "I know how! I just don't want to kiss you!"
Those words ignited Liam's anger.
His eyes turned icy cold, as if frozen over.
The unfamiliar environment suddenly felt tense and suffocating.
Liam pressed his thin lips together tightly, his intense gaze locked on her.
The burning intensity of his stare made Vivian's heart flutter nervously.
She panic raised her hands to cover her eyes. "Liam Sullivan, stop looking at me like that!"
His vision suddenly blocked, her soft yet domineering voice ringing in his ears. An involuntary, indulgent smile curved Liam's lips.
