Chapter 165
"You've been skipping work for so long, you might as well not go at all." Liam Sullivan's dark eyes flickered as his thin lips parted, his tone indifferent.
Vivian Bennett's pretty face stiffened. She hurriedly whispered a rebuttal, "How can that be okay?"
"I say it's okay, so it's okay." Liam's gaze was profound, his tone leaving no room for argument. "I'm the boss. I approve."
The implication was clear: he would protect her.
But Vivian didn't want special treatment.
"But..." Her entire face scrunched up in frustration.
Liam suddenly leaned in, his intense masculine presence enveloping her.
"Any other problems?"
"I don't want special treatment," Vivian said, her face flushing red. Her voice carried a coquettish tone she wasn't even aware of.
That tone hit exactly what Liam wanted to hear.
He loved it when she acted spoiled.
It made him feel like, in this moment, he was her boyfriend, not her superior.
Liam raised an eyebrow. "You really want to go to work?"
Vivian nodded eagerly.
Work was secondary. The main reason was to use this chance to get away from him.
She really didn't dare let him hold her any longer.
She was terrified he would devour her any second.
Liam's dark eyes studied her for a moment. Suddenly, his thin lips parted. "Kiss me."
Vivian froze, almost thinking she had misheard.
"You want to go to work, don't you? Kiss me. Keep kissing me until I agree."
Vivian turned to stone.
Several seconds later, she finally regained her senses.
Gritting her teeth, she gave him a symbolic, feather-light peck on the lips.
Liam's eyes instantly darkened.
That casual, light kiss of hers had ignited a fire within him.
"Okay." Vivian blinked at him, signaling the task was complete.
To her surprise, Liam said, "Not enough. Continue."
Vivian felt a vein throb at her temple.
He actually thought she was being perfunctory.
Little did he know this was her first time actively kissing a man.
She had used up all her courage just moments ago.
But now he said it wasn't enough.
She had no choice.
After hesitating repeatedly, she could only continue.
Vivian reached up and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. She planted messy kisses on his ear, his neck, his forehead. Finally, she cupped his handsome face and pressed a kiss to his thin lips.
"Done!"
She raised an eyebrow and looked at him.
He should be satisfied now.
She had kissed every part of his face and body.
Liam's Adam's apple bobbed.
His eyes darkened as they fixed on her.
His thin lips parted once more. "Continue."
Vivian was stunned.
He still wasn't satisfied?
But she had no idea how else to kiss him.
