Chapter 164
"Take your time drinking. It's fine if we're late."
Liam Sullivan's voice was deep and unhurried.
Vivian Bennett pressed her red lips together.
Of course the big boss wasn't in a hurry.
He was the owner.
No one would dare dock his pay for being late.
She was just a regular employee.
Being this late.
A scolding was unavoidable.
Her perfect attendance bonus was definitely gone.
She was mourning the loss of her bonus.
Liam suddenly glanced at her, a suggestive curve lifting the corner of his mouth. "Actually, no need to make it up. The current size is just perfect."
Vivian froze.
Her cheeks burned crimson the moment she processed his words.
She choked, coughing uncontrollably, taking a long moment to recover.
Her finger trembled as she pointed at him. "You... you're shameless!"
The man who appeared so refined could make lewd remarks so effortlessly.
He was getting more and more outrageous.
"Just stating facts." Liam remained composed, but his gaze drifted meaninglessly over her chest. "Fine, don't admit it if you won't."
"I'm not eating anymore!" Vivian turned away, stomping her foot in anger.
She didn't want to speak to him ever again.
"Eating so little, you won't have any energy later. I won't carry you." He narrowed his eyes, his voice low.
"Who wants you to carry me!" She glared at him over her shoulder.
"Last night you clung to me, begging to be held all night." Liam reminded her, word by word.
Vivian: "..."
She was going insane.
Staying here any longer would make her explode.
She stood up to leave.
A sharp pain shot through her ankle, making her wince.
"What's wrong?" Liam's eyes darkened.
"Nothing." She gritted her teeth against the pain, just wanting to escape quickly.
He wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her onto his lap.
"Let me go!" Vivian panicked and struggled.
"Don't move." His voice was hoarse with warning.
She instantly froze, not daring to move another muscle.
Liam lifted her injured ankle and gently rested it on the edge of the dining table.
The swelling had gone down, but the bruise remained.
It clearly hadn't fully healed.
"Stay here and rest today." His tone brooked no argument.
Vivian's heart clenched.
She had already stayed one night. Was she supposed to remain longer?
Absolutely not.
"I have to go to work. My tasks aren't finished yet..." she argued urgently.
