Chapter 133
"Who is your woman?" Vivian Bennett retorted instinctively.
Liam Sullivan's handsome face tightened instantly.
She immediately realized her mistake.
His dark brows rose. His eyes turned intense. "Not my woman?" he said in a low voice. "Then I'll make you mine right now."
His large hand gripped her slender waist. He lowered his head and captured her lips.
Vivian was caught completely off guard.
She pushed against him, but he held her firmly.
Liam kissed her with fierce possessiveness.
His hand slid beneath her thin dress. It caressed the smooth skin of her waist.
The scorching heat of his palm set her skin on fire.
Vivian quickly grabbed his wrist.
"Just kiss me. Stop touching me."
"So you like it when I kiss you..." Liam's eyes lit up.
He pinned both her hands above her head. This gave him better access to her mouth.
Vivian felt like she was suffocating from his kiss.
His potent masculine scent overwhelmed her senses.
"Stop..." she gasped breathlessly.
Liam showed no signs of stopping.
His hand continued exploring her skin.
Suddenly, he paused. His gaze deepened intensely.
Vivian's face flushed bright red.
She glared at him in embarrassment. "I was about to take a shower..."
She had already undressed for her shower.
Hearing the doorbell, she had only hastily wrapped a robe around herself.
Liam's breathing grew noticeably heavier.
His blood roared with restless energy.
Vivian pushed at him frantically. "Let me go."
Liam looked at her deeply. "You need to shower?"
Vivian desperately wanted to ask him to leave.
But he showed no intention of going anywhere.
If she admitted she needed to shower, would he think she was inviting him?
What if he wanted to join her? That would be disastrous.
"No," she said, making an excuse. "I just got back from a business trip. I'm very tired. I want to rest."
Liam narrowed his eyes. "You were on a business trip too?"
He had called her several times these past few days. She hardly ever answered.
It wasn't that Vivian was ignoring him on purpose.
Zachary Hudson had simply exhausted her.
She hadn't had the energy to answer his calls.
At first, Liam thought she was angry about their last flirtatious phone call.
Later, he learned she had gone to City A on business.
"Yes," Vivian nodded wearily.
Seeing how tired she was, surely he would let her go now?
Instead, Liam held her even tighter.
"Why didn't you tell me about your business trip?" he asked softly.
Vivian raised a brow. "You know now, don't you?"
She hadn't intended to hide it from him.
Working at Sullivan Group made it impossible to keep secrets from him.
"Are you tired?" Liam looked down at her.
"Very," she answered without hesitation.
Trapped in his embrace, her hands had nowhere to go.
Her fingertips accidentally brushed against his firm abs. She pulled back as if electrocuted.
"I'll stay with you tonight." Liam kissed her forehead. He said it suddenly.
Vivian immediately felt exasperated.
What was going on?
She had just admitted how exhausted she was.
