Chapter 121

Vivian Bennett had never sung for a man alone before.

"Sing for me." Liam Sullivan's voice was low and husky, laced with undeniable pressure. "Otherwise, don't even think about hanging up tonight."

His threat worked.

Vivian just wanted to end the call quickly.

She had to get up early for work tomorrow.

She began to sing softly, her voice still hazy with sleep:

"If the hero never comes to you, if you need someone you......"

It was a soft English song.

Vivian repeated the melody over and over.

Her voice was sweet and pleasant to the ear.

In the silent depth of the night, it was particularly stirring.

Liam closed his eyes, his Adam's apple bobbing violently.

A suppressed groan escaped his throat......

Vivian abruptly stopped singing.

She gripped her phone tightly, alert. "What are you doing?"

Liam didn't answer.

But heavy, ragged breathing came clearly through the receiver.

Vivian froze instantly.

That sound was all too familiar......

Her mind went blank.

When she realized what was happening, she abruptly ended the call.

That bastard!

He was listening to her sing while he......

Her phone rang again, stubbornly persistent.

Vivian bit her lip, hesitating for a moment before answering.

"What else do you want?" she asked, struggling to contain her anger.

"Vivian, I really want to..." Liam's voice was terribly hoarse, his breathing growing more rapid.

"Shameless!" Vivian spat out angrily.

Liam chuckled lowly. "I hadn't even finished my sentence. Why the name-calling?"

Normally, she would never dare speak to him like this.

But tonight, he had gone too far.

"Don't you know exactly what you were doing?" Vivian accused, humiliated and furious.

Liam's laughter deepened.

He actually liked it when she lost her temper like this.

It meant she was finally seeing him as a man, not just her boss.

"Since you know," his voice was tempting, "why not sing it again? I was almost there......"

Vivian could hardly believe her ears.

How could someone be so utterly without shame.

Imagining his tense body, his rolling Adam's apple, the beads of sweat...

For some reason, she began to feel hot and flustered herself.

Bad company corrupts good morals.

He was rubbing off on her.

"If you need a woman, you can find someone else," Vivian suggested irritably.

Liam frowned. "I don't want anyone else. I only want you."

He was fastidious. He never touched those kinds of women.

So far, she was the only one who could stir his desire.

If he weren't on a business trip abroad, he would fly back immediately and crush her into his embrace.

"Get lost!"
