Chapter 116

Vivian Bennett froze at Zachary Hudson's words.

He actually wanted her to go to his office?

What was this man plotting now?

Did he plan to make her wait in his office like last time?

Zachary's captivating eyes locked onto her. "If you don't come, I won't let go."

Cornered, Vivian reluctantly nodded.

Only then did Zachary release her.

Vivian immediately turned and hurried back to Liam Sullivan's table.

She suddenly realized that staying with Liam felt safer than dealing with Zachary's advances.

"Why were you gone so long?" Liam's deep gaze settled on her face as he asked quietly.

"I..." Vivian twisted her fingers nervously, stammering incoherently.

Just then, Zachary's voice suddenly rang out.

"Mr. Sullivan, long time no see." Zachary walked over with a smile, initiating the greeting.

Vivian's heart skipped a beat when she saw him follow her.

"What are you doing here?" Liam's expression instantly turned cold, clearly displeased.

"Not happy to see me?" Zachary raised an eyebrow with an amused smile, his tone teasing.

Liam's eyes turned icy. "Should I be?"

"Mind if I join you for dinner?" Zachary squinted his peach blossom eyes, a smile playing on his lips.

Without waiting for an answer, he pulled out a chair and sat down.

Vivian was stunned.

How could Zachary be so presumptuous?

He was probably the only person in the world who dared treat Liam this way.

Liam didn't immediately throw him out. Instead, he studied him deeply for a moment before asking, "What do you want?"

Zachary's gaze fell on Vivian, filled with amusement.

"When did Mr. Sullivan start bringing women out?" he drawled lazily.

Liam frowned and pulled Vivian closer by her waist. "She's my girlfriend."

Zachary visibly paused, his movements stilling.

He looked at Vivian with renewed interest.

He had assumed she was just Liam's mistress, never expecting she was his official girlfriend.

This woman's methods were indeed extraordinary.

Her ambitions were clearly substantial.

She seemed to be aiming for the position of Mrs. Sullivan.

No wonder she had rejected his previous proposal.

"Girlfriend? Are you serious, Mr. Sullivan?" Zachary's eyes filled with playful curiosity.

Liam narrowed his cold eyes. "I'm not like you. I don't play games."

For him, women were either strangers or lovers.

He never toyed with emotions.

A dark glint flashed in Zachary's eyes, though his face maintained its carefree smile.

"I never thought this iceberg would actually fall in love. Congratulations are in order."

"Unnecessary." Liam's tone remained cold, radiating an aura that kept others at a distance.

Most people would have taken the hint and left by now.

But Zachary was not most people.

Not only did he stay, he even called a waiter over to order.

He genuinely seemed intent on joining their meal.

Vivian internally panicked at the sight.

She absolutely did not want to have dinner with Zachary.

Especially not in front of Liam.

The three of them sitting together at one table felt utterly bizarre.

She quickly spoke up. "Um... I just remembered I have something to do..."
