Chapter 114

Vivian Bennett stared in shock. "What are you doing?"

Liam Sullivan didn't answer. He simply gestured to a waiter standing nearby.

The waiter immediately understood and approached.

He neatly arranged Liam's custom gold-rimmed place setting at the seat next to Vivian before silently withdrawing.

"I want to be closer to you." Liam settled beside her, a gentle smile warming his eyes.

Vivian froze in place.

What kind of reason was that?

Before she could process it, Liam leaned in close.

His familiar masculine scent enveloped her instantly.

She instinctively tried to pull back.

But Liam wrapped an arm around her waist, closing the distance between them.

"You..."

Vivian stared at him, a mix of shock and embarrassment flooding her.

This was a six-star hotel restaurant.

How could he be so brazen?

What if someone saw them?

Her thoughts were in turmoil when Liam suddenly used his silver fork to pick up a piece of steak from his own plate.

He held it to her lips.

"Thank you, I can manage myself." Vivian turned her head away, her ears turning red.

"Do you need me to feed you personally?" Liam's eyes darkened, a meaningful curve lifting the corner of his mouth.

Vivian's heart skipped a beat. Her cheeks burned instantly.

She understood exactly what he meant.

Did he want to feed her... that way again?

In the middle of a crowded six-star restaurant? Did she have no dignity left?

Vivian wished she could vanish on the spot.

Left with no choice, she reluctantly opened her mouth and accepted the steak.

She chewed awkwardly as Liam's deep voice murmured near her ear. "You're too thin. It's uncomfortable to touch. You should eat more."

Vivian was mortified. Every part of her felt uneasy.

The beef in her mouth seemed impossible to chew through.

Liam watched her flushed face, his Adam's apple moving unconsciously.

He was lying.

Though Vivian was slender, her curves were exquisite.

He adored her body exactly as it was.

He could never forget their night of passion.

Just the memory made his body tense and his breath quicken.

He wanted to pull her into his arms right then.

"But the way you are now... it enthralls me just the same." Liam's heated gaze locked onto her, his lips curving upward again.

If he didn't have to catch a flight for a business trip, he would take her upstairs immediately to relive that dream.

His gaze was too intense. Vivian could barely withstand it.

She swallowed the food in a fluster. Her cheeks were burning red, her eyelashes fluttering nervously.

"I... I need to use the restroom."

She seized the excuse and rose to escape.

Liam's low laughter followed her, echoing in her ears like a spell.

She quickened her pace.

Inside the luxurious restroom, Vivian stared at her reflection.

Her face was as flushed as a peach blossom.

She silently scolded herself for being so useless, for fleeing in such a panic.

She fanned her face with her hand, trying to cool her burning cheeks.

If she had stayed a moment longer, she didn't know how much more embarrassed she would have become.
