Chapter 105

Vivian Bennett expected Liam Sullivan to not let her off easily.

To her surprise, he only breathed heavily for a moment before releasing her.

"If you dare deny that I'm your boyfriend again, I'll teach you a lesson in bed." His eyes were deep and burning, his voice husky with warning.

Vivian's heart trembled.

"Grandma Margaret is waiting for me. I should go."

She quickly found an excuse and turned to escape.

Liam watched her hurried retreat and sighed helplessly.

......

In a corner of the garden.

Isabella Sullivan had witnessed the entire wild kiss between Liam and Vivian. Her face was filled with hatred.

Her brother had always been reserved and disciplined. When had he ever kissed a woman so passionately?

What kind of spell had Vivian cast?

How could she make her calm and controlled brother lose control to this extent?

Isabella shot a jealous glare in Vivian's direction before gritting her teeth and returning to the private dining room.

......

After returning to the private dining room, Vivian was visibly unsettled.

Grandma Margaret noticed something was troubling her. Since she had already finished eating, she suggested they leave.

Vivian called for the waiter to settle the bill.

The waiter informed her that their private dining room's bill had already been paid.

Vivian was surprised. "That's impossible. I haven't paid yet."

The waiter gave a knowing smile. "It's already been charged to Mr. Sullivan's account."

Vivian froze again.

Liam had quietly paid the bill without her knowledge.

But she didn't want to owe him this favor.

"Please process the payment again," Vivian told the waiter.

Despite Liam repeatedly insisting she was his girlfriend, Vivian still found it unreal.

All the hardships and suffering she had endured since childhood reminded her.

One shouldn't live in fantasies.

Being down-to-earth was the safest approach.

She didn't believe Liam truly wanted her as his girlfriend.

Who knew why this powerful boss had taken a sudden interest in her.

If his interest in her faded, she would eventually be cast aside.

Vivian couldn't allow herself to become overly dependent on him.

"I'm afraid that won't be possible. Your private dining room has already been settled..." The waiter looked uncomfortable.

They wouldn't dare offend Liam Sullivan.

Vivian didn't press the waiter further.

She helped Grandma Margaret leave the private dining room.

As they passed through the main hall, they happened to see Liam assisting his grandmother down the stairs.

"Vivian, isn't that your boss?" Grandma Margaret whispered.

"Yes." Vivian glanced quickly at Liam before immediately looking away.

She kept her eyes downcast, not daring to look up at him or greet him.

"Grandma, let's go." Vivian kept her head down and hurried Grandma Margaret away.
